Ross had worked before with the extraordinary singer John Reid, so when their shared manager Mark Goldinger suggested they team up again, everything seemed to make sense. With Shug (projects 3&4) still at the board, they got together with DJ Graham Wilson to form, not so much a band exactly, but more a writing team.
Their first creation – Living Inside A Dream – out independently on Mark G’s Lizard label was single of the week on Pete Tong’s highly influential Friday night BBC Radio 1 show.
This led to new recordings for 4th & Broadway (Island Records). The biggest success came when the song Push The Feeling On very quickly established itself as a massive club favourite all across the UK. It was a hit in the USA when it was released there in 1993. It proved to be a great commercial success internationally when it was re-released in 1995.
“It was really funny that it took MK’s fabulous remix for the song to take off, but I’m not complaining!”
